This is a unique opportunity to experience wonderful train travel from a previous age, hauled by steam.
The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway runs a 28-mile round trip from Broadway to Cheltenham Racecourse, with stunning views of the Vale of Evesham, the Malverns, Wales and, of course, the Cotswolds.
The railway - run by volunteers - has been beautifully restored. An original 14 miles of its line, various platforms, buildings and rolling stock are kept in in tip top condition. In addition to regular services, the railway runs fun events, particularly for families, such as fish and chip on-board suppers, and a Santa special at Christmas time.
There are four stations to get on and off at: Broadway, Toddington, Winchcombe and Cheltenham Racecourse. There's a full timetable on the website.
